Merging Client Records 3 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi Adriano

We seem to have made a bit of an error
We were trying to create a lay-by for a client with out too much success and now we have that client on our system 3 times.
Is there a way to merge this client so the 3 becomes 1
Warmest Regards,

Raewyn

Yes there is.

You can unify two into the one you want to keep. This will also delete the two cards. Remember though that this does not copy info from the fields inside the two cards into the one card. You need to manually do this before unifying. My advice would be to analyze well the 3 cards before doing anything and selecting the one with the most data as the one to keep. If there is info in the others missing in that one manually copy it across. Pay a lot of attention when processing the Unify function as this is undoable and it could totally destroy your data if not used correctly (eg. You could unify all records into one!)

Then

1)Jot down the exact Client Code of the Client record to keep

2)Make sure you have a selection in Clients in which you can see both records to be deleted/unified

3)Highlight both records to be deleted/unified

4)Click the Unify button/icon next to the New Record Icon

5)Type the Code of the record to keep exactly as noted in Step 1 and click OK

This is all.
