Background - The Environment - Based in the heart of Milan, just a 2 minutes walk from the Duomo, Effebi is a Wholesaler of Italian Jewellery.
Background - The Requirements - Effebi planned to implement ArtsMagna business software to provide an integrated Invoicing and Stock management system capable to easily convert and manage Stock purchased by Category of workmanship and Gold Value into individual items and the other way around. The company also wanted a system simple to install and maintain with capability to be expanded as the need would arise.

Solution - A mono user version of ArtsMagna was installed on an iMac connected through a USB hub to an Epson Ink Jet Printer, Eltron BarCode Printer, USB Camera, Mettler scale and a BarCode Reader. Backups of the software are made to a second iMac connected with a simple cross over Ethernet cable. This is an example of a very inexpensive simple solution allowing for a very professional yet simple capability.
Result - The benefits to Effebi are many. Staff is minimized by the integration of Stock, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable which also generate automatically GST reporting. Simple Catalogues are easily generated through the database of images attached to the Stock Items and reordering has never been simpler. |
