Background - The Environment - Broggian diffusione, Italy's leading pearls distributor, is a family business. They are the Italian sole Agent and Wholesalers for the MIKIMOTO Japanese Cultured Pearls. They are also leaders in South Sea Pearls, Loose Stones and are manufacturers of half a dozen important Jewellery lines amongst which the CdP (Compagnia delle Perle), Mimi`, Blue Lagoon, etc.. They have several offices and agents distributing to a network of thousands of Retailers throughout Italy.
Background - The Requirements - The company planned to implement ArtsMagna business software to provide an integrated manufacturing, financial, logistical/distribution and human resources solution, and to enable Broggian diffusione to extend enterprise applications via the Internet or corporate intranets. The company decided to simultaneously upgrade its aging hardware infrastructure to facilitate the increased demands of the powerful new software and also to ensure complete Y2K compliance.

Solution - Warp Corporation designed an integrated solution including systems management software (SMS), wide area network (WAN) and server implementation, Managed Online Networks (MON) and on-site engineering assistance. In addition, the company's non-compliant servers and PCs were replaced or updated. Phase One of implementation was to replace the server and all the non-Year 2000 compliant PCs, and upgrade the software. Phase Two was to start managing only one specific line of products under the new software ArtsMagna. Phase Three to implement ArtsMagna`s powerful capabilities two all other products.
